2022 FORMULA WOMAN TEAM
The 2022 Formula Woman winners are making good progress with testing, but will only test on the Brands Hatch GP circuit next week. The Formula Woman team will continue testing and prepare for their debut in the GT Cup rounds at Snetterton on 11th and 12th June.
The DTO Motorsport team of driver coaches are pleased with the progress of all six drivers (2 reserves) in their McLaren 570 GT4, as well as their M2 race cars. They are getting close to letting the ladies loose to race against the male-dominated GT Cup field at the third event at Snetterton.
The two McLaren’s allocated to Formula Woman have now been delivered and next week we will be revealing the cars in our new title sponsors livery – watch this space!
2022/23 COMPETITION
As expected, applications continue to flood in from around the globe for the new Formula Woman competition and we have just launched ‘invite a friend’ incentive for the existing community.
All new members have to do is list your name as the introducer on their application form and you will be entered into a monthly draw to win 2 VIP tickets to any of the remaining GT Cup rounds this year.
NEW MEMBER PACKS
Anyone who has not received their new member packs, please be patient as we are awaiting some new ‘goodies’ to arrive. You should be able to use your membership number to access the portal and the assessments are not until October this year (2022).
SOCIAL MEDIA
Many of you use social media to communicate with our Formula Woman team as well as with each other.
Unfortunately, there are one or two fake accounts out there operated by individuals who don’t believe in the Formula Woman phenomenon.
They are easy to spot and contain negative images and posts, if you are contacted by them, we suggest you simply block them or report them.
TRACK DAY TRAINING
Our one to one training days are commencing again in May in The Trade Centre BMW’s and already filling up. If you are considering some expert coaching please register your interest and which circuit you would prefer.
INTERNATIONAL
Many of you from countries out of the UK have been in contact with us regarding opportunities in your region.
We have done a number of zoom calls with you as individuals to discuss our plans, and your plans, so if you would like to arrange a one to one zoom call with one of our team, let us know and we can organise a call.
Formula Woman Newsletter - 14th April
Great news this week as we saw our Formula Woman GT Cup team get their first taste of the McLaren with DTO Motorsport. There was even a special guest in attendance!
Happy Easter from the FW Team.
DONINGTON PARK – FIRST TEST IN A DTO MCLAREN
Tuesday saw our first outing with DTO Motorsport at Donington giving the Formula Woman drivers their first taste of McLaren GT4 power.
All six drivers attended, including the two reserves and we were impressed with their natural ability.
1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill attended the test as a guest of DTO.
The feedback from the three professional driver coaches was all very positive, a couple of big slides encountered but corrected and controlled.
There is still some work to do before the next round of the GT Cup, but overall a very positive and trouble-free day.
NEXT COMPETITION
The next FW competition assessments are expected to take place in the UK, North America, and India with a different finals format taking place in the UK in October.
As an existing member, you have automatic entry to the new assessment days and as one of the finalists (providing you registered by 31st March this year), you have automatic entry to the finals.
The format this year will be open to anyone with a current driving licence and applications will be accepted based on the information you provide us regarding any race or track experience you have had.
Last year’s applications on this were not accurate and we can only allocate you in to the correct group based on what you tell us!

FORMULA WOMAN TEAM TO UNDERTAKE TESTING PROGRAMME IN DTO McLARENS
With the forthcoming opening round of GT Cup commencing this coming weekend at Donington Park, Formula Woman has opted to miss the opening round in favour of an intensive testing programme.
Formula Woman and DTO Motorsport have decided to further prepare the winners of the 2022 Formula Woman competition starting on Tuesday 12th April at Donington Park.
The winners who have been recently testing in the Formula Woman Trade Centre BMW’s and Formula Woman Project 8 Jaguars, will be using the DTO Motorsport prepared McLarens which are now entered in the 2022 GT Cup Championship.
Graeme Glew founder and CEO of Formula Woman commented, “We want our drivers to be as well prepared as possible, so we have devised a test programme with DTO Motorsport and we expect them to be race-ready very soon.”
“Our drivers agree that this is the best approach, and they are looking forward to the testing programme, which of course will give them much more confidence at their first race meeting.”
The six Formula Woman drivers were selected through an International Competition where 960 women with little or no racing experience were put through various tests including simulator, karting, fitness, mind coaching and ice driving in Sweden to become drivers in the 2022 GT Cup Championship.

RECEIVED COMMUNICATION
Sadly we have been made aware of an anonymous communication circulating in motorsport making comments regarding the Formula Woman competition.
We are aware of where this has originated, and it appears to be sour grapes from a small few.
We would like to assure everyone that the competition has been conducted in a fair and democratic manner with the aim of potentially finding talented female racing drivers.
We know that many have thoroughly enjoyed the experience no matter where you came and are very keen to continue your journey in some form or another, and we are here to help you achieve your goals.
Inevitably with any competition, there will always be high emotion! Some take defeat graciously, pick themselves up and come back even better, others struggle to accept personally challenging outcomes.
At the end of this week, we will know who our team of drivers are, and we are all looking forward to the season ahead with our partners in the GT Cup Championship.
Formula Woman Newsletter - 4th March
After three days of tests and challenges, the finals are now entering the remaining stages. The first two days at PF International Kart Circuit saw 70 finalists get whittled down to 15, who then went to Croft where they were whittled down further to just ten.
The ten, who have just been announced, and go through to the shootout, will be heading to Sweden for an ice drive challenge to determine who will be the winning four drivers and two reserves.
They are joined by one wildcard entry, making 11 finalists vying for the coveted 6 places in the GT Cup team.
The whole Formula Woman team congratulates everyone who has taken part, you have all had the most amazing experience, no matter where you have come.
Your journey will continue, in the meantime we wish the final ten the best of luck next week.

Formula Woman Newsletter - 25th February
Next week sees the start of the finals and I am sure that all applicants wish the finalists the best of luck as they battle it out in the final rounds.
For those who weren't successful, rest assured that there will be lots more happening in the future along with the 2022/23 Competition.
Like a lot of things we all get involved in, it seems to generate issues and the following article should be read and clarifies any issues you may have heard.
CLARIFICATION
Unfortunately, we need to start this week’s newsletter off by addressing false information which is being circulated by a handful of individuals on social media. We wish to reiterate the following;
The Formula Woman Competition is a challenge to find four women race drivers to compete in the 2022 GT Cup Championship
The selection process is fair and is down to each finalist to perform to the best of their ability in the tasks we have created.
These tasks are designed to test your speed, natural ability, mental performance and technical knowledge relating to motorsport. There is a scoring system, and we have independent judges. If you don’t get through to the next 15 it’s because you didn’t perform as well as those who did.
The Formula Woman prize is a fully sponsored race season in a GT4 McLaren for four winners and two reserve drivers.
The 15 down to 10 at Croft circuit follows the same principle … it’s down to personal performance.
The 10 down to 6 in Europe the following week will not just be against the clock.
The only restriction for your own personal sponsors is anything that conflicts with our current partners, such as Sparco, McLaren, Vauxhall, Shepherd Compello and RWM.
RWM (Ryley Wealth Management) are the title sponsor of the finals at PF International.
NEW OPPORTUNITES
As the finals are about to start the Formula Woman team are looking forward to the next opportunities that can be offered.
As you are all well aware, there have been some fantastic events for you all to take part in and these will be happening again.
The 2022/23 Competition is already being planned and once we have more information you will be the first to know.
Formula Woman is dedicate to providing opportunities to you all. Once the finals have been decided and we have our team for the GT Cup we will be annoncing further news.
In the meantime we hope that everyone will support those who are successful and the Formula Woman Mclaren GT Cup team this season.
Formula Woman Newsletter - 16th February

OUTSIDE INFLUENCERS

Our Simulator partner is I zone
Our Mind coach is Sabine from The Winners Institute

CHRISTMAS KARTING
This was a huge success and everyone had a lot of fun.
FINALISTS SOON TO BE ANNOUNCED
Currently the Formula Woman team are wading through assessment results and looking at camera footage to decide which 50 competitors are going through to the finals, which we expect to take place at the end of February 2022 in the UK.
The 50 finalists will be notified by an individual email inviting each and every one to attend the finals. Unsuccessful competitors will be sent a unique newsletter informing them that they were unsuccessful on this occasion. The 50 finalists will not receive a newsletter next week. There will be a reserve list should anyone not be able to attend the finals.
Any competitor who didn’t make the cut for whatever reason, can send us a feedback request, as we appreciate that there are many who still want to continue with Formula Woman and improve their performance. We will not be able to respond to these requests until The New Year.
A full list of the finalists will be be published in the New Year newsletter.
RACE SUIT ORDERS
Last date to order your race suit is tomorrow, 17th December, for Xmas delivery.
After this date, race suits can still be ordered, but will be despatched after the new year.
Please contact abi@f1.co.uk.
Formula Woman Newsletter - 9th December
Assessments over, the selection process begins…. After a windswept final assessment day at Bedford Autodrome Tuesday, where 80 Formula Woman competitors took part, our difficult challenge is on to find 50 women to enter the final stages of the competition to win seats in McLaren GT4 race cars in GT Cup for 2022.
CHRISTMAS KARTING EVENT - 12TH DECEMBER
If you haven’t signed up for this coming Sunday’s endurance karting event at PFI in Grantham, contact us ASAP.
A few overseas competitors have had to pull out due to Covid restrictions which is unfortunate. The event starts at 9am and will conclude at approx 2pm.
Lunch is included and the format is teams of four. Partners, friends and family welcome. The local Old Barn Hotel has preferential room rates for anyone wishing to stay close the night before.
Contact lucy@f1.co.uk for last minute entries.
ONE TO ONE TRAINING
There is one slot available for the full day training at Cadwell Park on Monday 13th December. Again, this is due to one competitor unable to travel due to Covid issues.
Contact Lucy@f1.co.uk.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection of the final 50 will be primarily based on your score in your Vauxhall Corsa e assessment, your results from your fitness assessment and your media test. The karting was a non scoring activity and the written test score is used for tie breaker situations.
The Formula Woman competition is a fair and square competition based on natural driving ability. Successful competitors will be notified if they have made it through to the final before Christmas.
